Mechanical Accuracy as the Basis for High-Quality Machining

In a CNC machine, mechanics are the foundation of precise machining. A modern control system can only achieve its accuracy on a solid mechanical basis. The same applies to measuring systems and a properly tuned servo system.

Over time, machine tools are affected by guideway wear, geometry changes and play in mechanical assemblies. Spindle problems and deviations in axis positioning are also common.

These issues quickly affect machining quality. The machine may lose accuracy. Repeated errors, increased tool wear or unreliable operation may also occur.

That is why we provide comprehensive mechanical and electronic servicing of milling machines and machining centres. Our goal is not only to eliminate individual faults. It is important to identify the real cause of the problem. Only then can the machine return to stable, precise and reliable operation.

Our services include machine commissioning, diagnostics and preventive maintenance. We also carry out machine levelling, geometry inspection and correction, as well as axis squareness correction. We can also provide guideway refurbishment, replacement of slideway linings, spindle service or spindle replacement, and more demanding mechanical retrofits.

During service work, we inspect the complete machine. We check the mechanical condition, drives, measuring systems, control system and safety components. This approach is especially important for older machines. In such cases, mechanical wear and electronic faults often occur at the same time.

After mechanical interventions, the condition of the machine can be verified with laser calibration, Ballbar measurements and geometry checks. This gives us an accurate insight into the actual condition of the machine. The measurements show whether the service work has been carried out correctly. At the same time, we verify whether the machine achieves the required accuracy.

One of Trecon’s key advantages is the combination of mechanical and electronic expertise. We therefore do not look for faults only in the mechanics or only in the drive control. We analyse the machine as a complete system.

This way of working enables more efficient diagnostics and better repair decisions. It is especially important for demanding service work, modernizations and mechanical refurbishments of machine tools.

AXA

Trecon has been cooperating with AXA since 2018. We are an officially authorized service partner for their CNC machine tools.

Our cooperation with AXA complements Trecon’s long-standing expertise in CNC technology. It also gives us direct knowledge of the mechanics of demanding machining centres.

We provide support for commissioning, diagnostics, maintenance, and mechanical and electronic machine service.

As an authorized service partner, we are familiar with the design features of AXA machines. We know their mechanical assemblies, drive systems and the way the CNC control is integrated.

This is important for regular service and for more demanding interventions. In such cases, mechanical accuracy, drive technology and control settings must be properly aligned.

An important part of our service expertise is also represented by our Croatian team. Since the branch was established in 2007, the team has developed specialist knowledge in mechanical retrofits, guideway refurbishment and machine tool geometry.

Trecon combines experience in CNC technology, servo drives, measuring systems and mechanical machine refurbishment. This allows us to offer customers complete support, from initial diagnostics to repair, commissioning and final accuracy inspection.
